United States former First Lady Barbara Bush died Tuesday April 17th, 2018 at the age of 92. Mrs. Bush had been reportedly been battling COPD and Chronic heart failure, when she passed away surrounded by her family at her Houston Texas home.

Mrs. Bush is 1 of only 2 first lady’s to not only be wife to the leader of our nation but mother as well. The other that can boast this feat was Abigail Adams wife of the 2nd president and mother to it’s 6th. What a remarkable women this nation mourns. What a impressive feat to be dutifull wife to a future president while shaping the mind, and spirit of another future president. I thought there was not enough time in the day for all I needed to do for my kids!

When someone passes away it’s sad and reflective. However when a mother exits the stage of life, the universe trembles. These are our creators; our givers of life; those that nurture and lovingly guide our souls. What a mother gives the world is priceless and her gifts are nothing short of miraculous.

When I picture Mrs. Bush as a young mother and wife, I can’t help but be in awe of what this women accomplished as wife and mother, seperate from the gifts she gave this nation in her role as a 1st Lady.

In 2015 Dorothy Bush Koch was the author of a article entitled, “Five Lesson I learned From My Mother Barbara Bush.”

Dorothy fondly recalled her mother tirelessly dealing with her 4 active brothers and their activities; and her father’s hectic traveling schedule. Never missing a game, still helped with homework, and read their nightly bedtime stories to them. Dorothy goes on to reveal the five big lessons she learned from her mother. I recommend reading it for yourself. I won’t spoil it with any more details here. The original version is told better than I ever could.
